Connect an MCP client

Preview

Connect a supported AI client to your DigitalStack workspace. The client runs tools as you, bound by your own permissions.

Before you start

  • • A DigitalStack account with access to a workspace.
  • • A supported MCP client — Claude today.
  • • The DigitalStack MCP endpoint (below).

Connect Claude

1

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

2

Enter the DigitalStack connector URL shown below.

MCP endpoint
https://mcp.digitalstack360.com/mcp
3

When Claude prompts you, sign in with your DigitalStack login.

Verify the connection

Ask a working prompt, for example “List my active projects and their status.” A grounded answer means the connection is live. See the tool catalog for everything you can ask today.

What the client can access

agent:read

Read agent-optimized project delivery, sprint, and risk read models via the Agent API (/api/agent/v1). Directional signals only — no rates, invoice data, or personal metadata.

This is a read-only connection. The client cannot create, change, or delete anything in DigitalStack, and it only sees what your own permissions allow.

Disconnect or revoke

Remove the connector from your client to stop it locally, and manage granted connections from Connected Apps. Revoking access takes effect on subsequent requests.

Other remote MCP clients

The server speaks standards-based remote MCP, so any client that supports a custom remote connector can point at the same endpoint and sign in with DigitalStack.

Automatic OAuth discovery and dynamic client registration aren't advertised yet, so setup varies by client. For the smoothest experience, use a client with first-class custom connectors like Claude.

Troubleshooting

You’re not signed inSign in to DigitalStack when your client opens the connection prompt.
Connection not authorizedComplete the sign-in and approve access when your client asks; the connector stays unauthorized until you do.

Access expired or revokedReconnect the client. You can review or revoke connections in Connected Apps.
Your client isn’t supportedUse a supported client (Claude today). Others are on the way — see the overview.
A tool is unavailableSome tools are Planned and not yet live over MCP. The tool catalog shows what works today.
The server won’t connectConfirm the MCP URL is exact and that your client connects over HTTPS.
